Tummy time????
When did you start tummy time with your newborn? Even though my little guy is only 9 days old, he's big....almost 10 lbs....he picks his head up while i'm feeding him and turns his head from side to side while he's sleeping. Is he ready for some tummy time? or should I have been doing this all along?

I think it depends on the baby. Some HATE it. I started at about 2 weeks for very short periods of time. I put a mirror next to her because she likes to look at herself.

We started tummy time from day one as per our Ped. request. My DD loved it so much that this is the only way that she sleeps now. She is 12 weeks and turns her head from side to side and holds it up great!!!

My son was also born big (9lbs, 7 oz.) He's four weeks old. I started right away.

ok....I think he's ready but when do you do it? I feel like he just wakes up to be changed and is ravenous. By the time he's done eating, he's nodding off already.

I started right away - try in little bits - maybe 5 minutes at a time a few times a day. and work your way up to 15 - 4 x a day
