Tummy time
My 14 week old hates tummy time. He tends to scream the whole time and barely picks his head up bc he is so beside himself. He almost always spits up during. Even if its 3 hrs after a bottle. (He suffers reflux) Any tips for helping him? Im concerned about him working out his neck and eventually rolling over. How often do you do tummy time?

Tummy time
My son was the same way. Wanted nothing to do with tummy time but I made him do it. My pediatrician recommended trying it for shorter times but more frequently. That worked great (well at least he was not screaming for as long). Once he started rolling over he got over his hatred of tummy time and he is always on his stomach now!

Re: Tummy time
Have you tried using a boppy pillow for tummy time? That might be more comfortable for him.

Re: Tummy time
My DD is now 4 months old and still hates Tummy Time unless I use a method where she can see what is going on. I use the boppy but also my Sister in Law is a PT and reccomended using a big therapy/medicine ball. You put the baby on his/her tummy on the ball and hold his/her back securely. Its great she loves it! She is up higer and can see everything plus I gently bounce her on the ball and she squeals and laughs. She will stay on for 5-10 minutes each time.

Tummy time
I used to put DD on my chest, a few times a day, for tummy time.

Re: Tummy time
DS was the same way. He always screamed during tummy time, and now that's the only way he'll sleep. Go figure!
I tried doing tummy time before bottles, but he'd still spit up. I'd just put a receiving blank under his head so when he spit up I could just throw that in the wash. In general, though, just keep at it and your baby will be rolling over in no time!

Tummy time
my dd was the same way and she held her head up at the proper milestones anyway. I think they all hate it LOL I would still do it everyday even if it was for 20 seconds LOL
