Tubes for clogged tear duct
Does anyone have experience with their LO getting tubes in their eyes? DD has clogged tear ducts and we are finally moving forward with the surgery. Her opthamologist recommended skipping the probing because DD is already 19 mths and there's a chance for probing failure. I don't want her to go under twice so we are going with tubes. What's the recovery like?
TIA!!

Re: Tubes for clogged tear duct
My DD had the probing (only 1 duct was clogged) at almost 25 months. It worked, and there was no recovery, she woke up fine.
I don't have experience with the tubes, but her eye Dr never even mentioned them to me. All he said was that there is always a small chance the probing doesn't work, in which case we would explore other options then.
