tubal ligation vs Essure
I am at a lost. Has anyone had either procedure done? What were your experiences. Tubal ligation has been around for years but Essure only a few years behind it. I am One of those women who always has problems with stuff like this. i.e. Depo----I bleed for 3 weeks!! The pill----well I cannot remember to take it. So I am leaning towards the old school having my tubes tied but the dr. said it is a chance of heavier periods. (NOt what I need at all) What to do?
Please feel free to forum mail me. TIA

Re: tubal ligation vs Essure
I had my tubes tied many years ago. It was an easy recovery, and had no problems afterwards. My period was the same as it was before I had it done. Good luck with your decision.

Re: tubal ligation vs Essure
I know nothing about Essure but I know some women have gotten something called Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome. Google it and read about it before having the procedure. My doctor advised me against it saying that my periods would most likely get worse.

I had a tubal when my DD was born. No issues with recovery. Periods were the same and even a little lighter, although I was warned they could be heavier.
