Trying to crawl out of the Flu hole...
So it definitely is/was the flu........
Day 5 now since its lovely appearance on Thursday. Saturday and Sunday were the scarriest/worst. I kept having really bad fever spikes even with the tylenol.
My fever shot to 103 at one point on 1,500 mg of tylenol. My midwives were great. They spent a lot of time on the phone with my DH because I really really didn't want to go to the hospital. One came and checked me on Saturday night at like 11pm. I barely remember it. I remember them getting me into the bathtub and showering me with warm/luke warm water and I just cursed cause I was so cold  I also got a IV of fluids for a few hours to rehydrate me.
Another one of the midwives just left a little while ago. I still have a slight temp but no more bad spikes so hopefully this bug is on its way out.
So much for the weight I gained at my last appointment. THis last little round cost me 7lbs so I'm back down below pre-preg weight.
Baby is doing great though. I had a few BH on Saturday but nothing for them to be alarmed. She was a little quieter than normal for a few days but they say that is because I wasn't eating as much.
She is moving around more today.
My body feels like its been tossed around and beaten and I'm utterly exhausted.......but hopefully I'll be better in a few days.
For those contemplating the Flu shot. I have ALWAYS gotten the Flu shot everyyear adn have NEVER gotten the flu. I postponed my shot 2X this year due to a minor cold and unfortunately got the flu. My DH got his flu shot a month ago, THANK GOD....he never got sick and was an absolute hero the last few days.
I don't interact with sick people or work in an office setting. So my contact with people is minimal. I either picked this up grabbing somethign from Target on Wednesday or Physical therapy since the incubation period for the Flu is 6-18 hours.
Your immunes system is just so suceptible when you are PG!
Having the flu when PG is scary.... I can't really rememmber all of Saturday and parts of Sunday because the fever made me delerious and I was just in bad shape.....
So please consider a Flu shot if your Physician reccomends it...
To those who FM'd me about various things I will get back to you in teh next few days......

I am so glad you are feeling better- that sounds so awful.
Thanks for reminding me to get my flu shot- my dd needs hers too!

i am glad to see that you 'seem' to be feeling a little better!
i have to say - we went to the Knicks game yesterday and there were people hocking and coughing EVERYWHERE - it made me really nervous to be there....
we see the OB tomorrow - if she suggests it - i may get it - for the first time in my life!

I cant even imagine....
I believe Im going through the begining stages of this myself, and am totally regretting that I didnt get a flu shot

i am glad you are feeling better. the flu is the worst..i had it last year for the first time in years with a 103 fever for 6 days.....i could not imagine it pregnant. i hope you recover real soon. and i agree......the flu is no joke get the shot!
