trips with a 10-12month old?
DH and I could use a vacation. Any ideas for a 10-12 month old? DD turns 1 in october and we'd like to do something between aug-oct.

I took a cruise with DS at that age: was perfect.
The kid won't be able to enjoy too much. Go on a trip for yourselves where it is easy to tote a kid along! Anywhere works!

We are taking our dd to an AI in DR for her first bday. I ultimately chose this over a cruise bc baby is completely free and I just thought an AI would be the most relaxing. Cruise was charging $500+ for baby and drinks aren't included. I love cruising but the small rooms and dd not being able to go into the pool steered me away. Crib would take up most of room and until dd is out of that and potty trained for the pool, we won't be taking her on a cruise.

We went to Disney World last August when DS was 11 mos. It was completely free for him (flight, parks, hotel). We had the best time everv and yes DS enjoyed every minute. We even got his first haircut at the barber shop on Main St! That itself was just so perfect!

I have been to Disney, PA, Tampa. all before DS was one. They can go anywhere. The younger they are the easier it is to travel.

I was thinking of ocean city MD but DH is not much of a beach person. But I think he would enjoy it with DD. I think he would enjoy building sand castles and taking her in the pool. Maybe a few night in montaulk would be less expensive.

If you're looking o do a beach trip on a budget, look into renting a house in the CT shore. We rented one in Niantic last summer and loved it. We were walking distance to the beach, there's a cute salable town with a children's museum, ice cream spots, restaurants.

I just found out DH took of in early october. So now I'm considering Disney or possiibly an AI but I'd really prefer something we can drive to. Ugh! I just can't decide.
