trimester/month/week chart
I know there was a recent post debating when you technically enter a new month/new trimester in pregnancy. Well, I found this chart on babycenter, and thought it was worth sharing.
I'm 17w2d, which I thought was my 4th month, but according to BBC, it's still my 3rd. Oh well!

Your First Trimester:
1st Month = Weeks 1,2,3,4
2nd Month = Weeks 5,6,7,8
3rd Month = Weeks 9,10,11,12,13
Your Second Trimester:
4th Month = Wks 14,15,16,17
5th Month = Wks 18,19,20,21
6th Month = Wks 22,23,24,25,26
Your Third Trimester:
7th Month = Wks 27,28,29,30
8th Month = Wks 31,32,33,34,35
9th Month = Wks 36,37,38,39,40
Week 1 till end of week 13
Begin week 14 till end week 26
Begin week 27 till Birth

Can anyone please explain to me how your third month has 5 weeks in it 
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but this is my 1st pregnancy and I'm new to all this

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but this is my 1st pregnancy and I'm new to all this
A week is 7 days. 4 weeks * 7 days = 28 days.
A calendar month is 30-31 days (except Fe of course).
Therefore, A true month is more than 4 weeks. Every few months a 5th week is added to catch up.
If you think about the whole year, there are 52 weeks. If we said a month was 4 weeks, then 4*12 would only equal 48.

Hmm good point! That makes sense now, guess it just looks weird bc only certain months have an extra week added to it lol
