trigger shot question
I did my trigger last night - intramuscular in the arm. and now I have 2 questions: 1. my arm is still a little sore when I move it around, did this happen to anyone else? I really don't think that there is anything wrong, I just can't remember from my last IVF cycle.
2. I am supposed to take a HPT approx 12 hours after my trigger to make sure that my body absorbed the shot. And I am to call if the test comes up negative. Just curious if anyone has had it come up negative and needed a booster?
Thanks. I am starting to get nervous!!!

Re: trigger shot question
Yes, arm should be sore. Remember -it's intramuscular. I usually call it "dead arm," like "dead leg" when my brother used to punch me right in the middle of my thigh, I'd have this achy sore feeling!
Test with HPT after 12 hrs. Never had a negative. In fact, I used a digital and ran around my girlfriends house screaming "I'm pregnant, I"m pregnant." Just practing for the real day.
Good luck with retrieval.

Thanks. It's been over a year since my last IVF cycle, and the closer I get to the ER the more nervous/anxious I get.
