Trigger Shot?
I know this sounds silly, but what it a triigger shot? I'm having an iui this month, and my doc never mentioned me getting a trigger. I do o on my own regularly if this makes any difference at all. Thank you:)

My trigger shot is the same as Ovidrel. I also O on my own but the RE controls when you ovulate. Once he saw that my follies were at a good stage, he had me do the Ovidrel shot so I can ovulate right on schedule in preparation for the IUI.

Re: Trigger Shot?
Well, I'm going in for monitoring in 2 days, so I'll ask them if they reccommend it:)

Re: Trigger Shot?
I had one RE that did Ovidrel (or trigger) and another RE that would have me doing OPK to see when I had a surge. I preferred the trigger because then I knew I couldn't make any mistake. Honestly, I would request it. Its not in your hands, then. You know for sure that you're ovulating at that time with a trigger and there's no question if you missed it. The RE that had me testing with OPK actually didn't have me testing on time and missed my O.
Lots of luck!

Oh no! What do you mean u weren't testing on time. Were you testing at the wrong time of the day or the wrong time in your cycle Either way, I got my surge today, so I'm going in for my iui tomorrow morning. I originally was going to go in for monitoring, but the surge came this morning. Now I'm hoping I don't o before tomorrow:(
