TRex in Orlando - has anyone waited for a table there?
2yo DS is obsessed with dinosaurs. We really want to eat at TRex. I have been checking for reservations for 2 months with no luck. We leave for Orlando tomorrow.
If we get there at like 5pm for dinner, is it safe to assume we will be able to get a table if we wait for an hr or so?
Our kids loved playing in their fossil dig area.

I walked up with no reservation around the 5 pm area and was told and hour. 15 mins later the buzzer went off. This was mid week, not weekend.

We went there this summer and there was no wait at all.
Awesome! We went to downtown Disney on sat night last time we were there. it was insanely busy.
2yo DS is going to be so happy! I'm so excited for him.

We had a reservation when we went but, there were a good deal of walk ins there as well (putting my name in was a bit hectic). You should be able to get a table in an hour - and at least there are things nearby the kids can look at while you wait.

Did you call trex directly versus going on the disney site? It always shows up as booked on the wdw tie but when you call the restaurant they have availability.

Did you call trex directly versus going on the disney site? It always shows up as booked on the wdw tie but when you call the restaurant they have availability.
I tried calling last night and got their voicemail box.

go early and no one is there at DD.
ETA: through disney reservations there are no reservations avaliable anywhere! yet people are always seated. Went to dinner at Planet Hollywood at around 6 and there was no wait.

Dont wait! When we went in April the line waiting without res was NUTS. some locals said its insane to go without a res.
Get the # online and call. Someone recommended that on here and I was able to get reservations with not problem at a prime time on the day I wanted like 2 weeks out when I hadnt been able to get anything for 2 months online!

I have been going on Disney's reservation site about 2x per week for the past 2 months for T Rex and Mickey's Backyard BBQ. No luck at all. I wonder what % of tables are available via reservation vs walk ins.
