Tree suggestion
We need to remove a tree that’s right next to our house and we’d like to replace it with another tree. We’re also redoing the curb appeal of our house and I’m going for a cute English cottage type look. Any thoughts on a tree that gives a cute cottage vibe? Tia!

For a flowering ring tree, crape myrtle.
Non-flowering, I love the leaves of a Japanese maple. Gorgeous fall foliage.

We actually have a Japanese maple on the other side from the previous owners and love it!! We are looking for some more height.

Tree suggestion
Rose of Sharon has such pretty flowers and they last basically all summer into fall. There are different colors as well as sizes (short and wide, tree-like and taller, more like a shrub, etc). And I believe they are not expensive.

i love my black diamond crape myrtle- it's a really dark colored tree with bright red flowers
