Tree for the front of the house

Since my Japanese maple was cut in half by someone that was working on my house in the past few months, I am looking into planting a new tree there. I am looking now for a taller tree, because the house is now bigger.

I was looking on line last night and found a great website that has trees that are fast growing and are available in our zone (7).

Danielle and I liked this tree:
Flowering Cherry Tree
and

Okame Cherry tree

Anyone have either one of these trees, or have any recommendations on a tree?
Thanks,
Scott

My neighbor across the street has the first tree you posted, I think. It's not the best picture since it was from my cell but you get the idea. They have the tree to the left of there house and driveway.

I think it looks pretty off to the side. I don't think I would put that type of tree in the middle of the front yard because it doesn't get very tall. I also like the second one better.

I have the kwanzan cherry and love it! I'm in NC, but I am almost positive it's fine for NY too!

The tree is fine for NY - I checked the zone. Ny is zone 7 and the zones for the tree are between 6 and 9.

Do you have a picture of the tree flowering at your house?

What about one of these

Weeping cherry tree

Weeping willow
My parents have a small one in front of their house

Apparently I like trees that "weep" lol

it's still only about 5-6ft talll, but already flowering beautifully. We planted it for my DD. I don't have any pics yet, but I need to get some since this is the 1st year we saw it bloom
