Travelling?

Up to what week are we allowed to travel? I'm supposed to go away on business the first week in June to Las Vegas. I will be 26 weeks then- do you think I'll be able to go?

Re: Travelling?

Sure! Talk with your doc to be sure. I don't see an issue as long as you are not high risk.

My Doc recommends not going anywhere more than 1 hour from the hospital after 34 weeks pg, only because there could be a chance i won't deliver in my hospital, etc.

Re: Travelling?

I have to endure a 16-hour car trip when I'm 7 months, and I am totally dreading it...then have to turn around and get back in the car 3 days later to come home, another 16-hours. I would definitely ask your doctor about flying, wish I could fly, but it's mucho $$$, although what's the price for my sanity?

Re: Travelling?

I'm just 100% sure with what I"m comfortable with. This trip is somewhat gruelling- even when you are not pg. There is alot of walking- you are basically walking all day. Not sure how big I'll be then- but I dont know how comfortable I'll be. I have a Dr's appt next week- so I'll ask her then and see what she says.

Re: Travelling?

Dr. H said I could travel at 29 weeks to Georgia - but it's def. not a work trip and I plan on chilling out the whole week and having my entire family cater to my every whim. Chat Icon

If I were you I wouldn't be as worried about the flight as I would about what you will have to do when you get there. It seems like you may be crazy busy and you just may not feel up to it.

Re: Travelling?

im 26 weeks now and not that big, but am uncomfortable at times, not all the time but sometimes, so you would go with what ur body can handle, i know i could not sit in onespot for that long, i get uncomfy sitting for more then 15 mintues.....but you can walk around the plane!
