Traveling with pets
Do you cover the seats in your car when traveling with dogs? I have tan leather seats & 2 dogs. Not a good match. I took them to be groomed today, its raining so the seats are filthy from a 2 minute ride.

I don't cover them, I do put her dog bed on the seat and she sits in that (she jumps right into it). A little bit of hair gets on the seat, but not too bad.

Re: Traveling with pets
Before we got the SUV, I found a throw blanket at BB&B for less than $20. and it was the exactly color of Brinkley! So I put that over the seat in the back.
It wasn't just the hair with us. We would take him to the beach, the park, out in the rain, through mud, etc. and washing the blanket is a heck of a lot easier.

Re: Traveling with pets
I bought a seat cover from BB&B for $20. I have a golden and he sheds a lot so it's easier to cover the seat when he is in the car then to have to vacuum the seat when people ride in the car.

Re: Traveling with pets
We bought a sling that covers the whole seat and hooks to the front seat. The dog cant call off the seats and you can hook them up to seatbelts in this if you do this. It also has pockets on the inside for dog treats and toys. We bought this for a long drive well worth it. They sell them at pet stores.

Re: Traveling with pets
We have a dog hammock in both cars. It actually helped when Teemu used to get car sick because he could face backwards. It is also nice cause I can just throw it in the wash when it gets all muddy or sandy.
Like this (but ours is all fleecy - I don't remember where I got it):
