Traveling internationally with a toddler
We will be taking our DD to Bermuda in October. We are flying there. We took her to Florida in April and used the Cosco Scenera Next car seat on the plane and in the rental car. We plan on doing the same (for the flight). Tourists can't rent cars in Bermuda so we plan on installing the car seat in the taxi to and from our hotel (those may be the only car rides during our trip).
We've been to Bermuda before (before children). From what I read and remember, the taxis in Bermuda have seat belts but they may not have the locking mechanism. We have a locking clip for that just in case. Just wondering, has anyone traveled overseas with a toddler and used their car seat? DH and I will practice installing it before our trip but I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences. TIA!

How old is your child? Do they use car seats in that country? It might be easier to leave home.

She will be 17 months when we go. Car seats are not required in taxis in Bermuda. I believe they are required in personal vehicles but we won't be driving. We definitively are bringing it. We bought her a seat for the flight and therefore need it for the flight.

We travelled to Greece when DS was around the same age. The car seat was a life saver on the flight because he felt like he was in a car, but a royal PIA lugging it around and installing it. We rented a car so we only had to install it one time. See if you can find on Amazon the thing that can put the car seat on wheels so u can push it thru the airport. This was at least 5 years ago so I don’t even think the thing existed yet and DH has to carry it around which sucked for him.
