Transition from Rock and Play
My DD is 12 weeks old. She's been sleeping from 9:30-5ish and from 6-8ish in her rock and play. I try putting her down in the bassinet because honestly I am not ready for her to be in her crib/own room....but she wakes up about an hour later. When we put her in the rock and play she goes right back to sleep but in the bassinet she is awake! Am I trying to early to get her to sleep flat in the bassinet? Do I just go straight to the crib or pack and play? How do I do it? Any btdt advice is appreciated!

Re: Transition from Rock and Play
I think your baby may just need the elevation from the RNP. There might be a little reflux going on. Also, DD started to sleep in her crib at night well before naps so maybe start with just that. I completely gave up on the bassinet. The RNP is approved for sleeping and she slept well in it... Why fight it KWIM? I only stopped using it when she started pulling herself to sitting. Then we started with bedtime in the crib, naps were in the swing. And now she always sleeps in the crib. GL.

Transition from Rock and Play
i have no advice yet as dd is 8 weeks and still in the rnp. however i cant imagine transitioning to a bassinet and then transitioning again to the crib. i would say just go right to the crib and get it over with.
we're hoping to transition to crib by 12 weeks

DD slept in our room in the RNP until she was 7 months. If you're not ready don't do it. We put her to sleep for the first time in her crib at 7 months and she slept like a rock. No rush IMO.

Re: Transition from Rock and Play
we transitioned at 9 weeks. I don't think I would ever use the RNP for overnight sleeping again if I had another baby. He just prefers it over laying flat. DS still wakes up at anywhere from 430-6 in his crib like 3 days a week and will easily go back to sleep if we put him in there. we are so excited the days he stay in his crib until 6/630 sleeping with just 1 binky placement at like 5/530!
He would sleep until 7am everyday if he stayed in it, but he is 4 months now, and it is not an option. He is outgrowing it, he has a little bit of flat head and he just needs to be in his room for all our sakes. the RNP was officially folded up and put away this morning (he was still sitting in it in the morning when I got ready for work).

Re: Transition from Rock and Play
We transitioned from the RNP to the crib at 3 months. DD transitioned pretty well with a little fussing the first couple of nights. Now at just about 6 months she pretty much will sleep anywhere I put her. The first night I put her in her room I didn't sleep at all! After that I realized she was fine and I'm not going to lie, it has been nice to have her in her own room.
