DD really started to love Elefun at that age, same concept. She is 11 months now and blocks, cars, and balls have been her faves for awhile now. She also loves Stack&Roll Cups - there is so much you can do with them! I was so glad to be introduced to them at a play date! I had been searching for toys to keep her attention, and this one definitely does.

Other toys I started to introduce around that age that she likes are the Laugh & Learn Piggy Bank, Tomy Hide & Squeak Eggs, Fisher Price Boppin Bugs, and 3 piece puzzles.

Definitely the LNL Home but it is kinda big. A ride on toy, the FP first blocks (really all the brilliant basics stuff), board books, the early years lil shopper play set, bright starts tropical ball dropper

Things that do not require batteries usually entertain my kids the best (now 3 and 16 months) large duplo legos, blocks (or save boxes from things in your kitchen and have them use them as blocks), farm animals, o-balls for your child to easily grab, bubbles, a toy play phone, pots and pans and spoons, musical insrtuments like a toy drum, shakie eggs, etc. Also, at 9 month they love books with real baby faces!!

DD has something called ball-cano, like volcano, looks like a volcano and spews balls out of the top.

Also yes to the fischer price laugh and learn house, it is pretty tall, heavy, but thin. Doesn't take up a lot of space.

She has a v-tech push toy, she loves to play with the board and now uses it to walk around the house too.
