Toys for 6-9 month old
DS will be 6 months for the holidays and family is starting to ask what they should get him. I have absolutely no clue! Any suggestions for what to tell them. I already have an exersaucer and a jumperoo.

DD was 4, almost 5 months old her first Christmas. She also had all of the major items already that you typically receive when the baby is born.
We asked for and/or received:
-FP laugh and learn music table (DD loved, loved that toy. She played with it the most between 6-12 months of age, but even at 2 she still plays with it a lot)
-clothes
-lots of books to start a big library for her
-a puzzle with her name on it (looked cute for photos and in her nursery and she grew into it with time)
-a few new soft lamaze toys (I would highly consider looking into the lamaze line of toys and seeing what products they have now and what interested you and DS)
-Shape Sorter
-Stacking Toys
-Mozart Music Cube
-Poppity Pop Dino (I think this is fisher price, cant remember lol)
-Melissa and Doug Wooden Toys (like the caterpillar and the crab)
-A Mirror/Music toy for the Crib
You could also consider asking for:
-furniture (a small rocking chair, or a bookcase, or something like that)
-sippy cups, spoons, forks, plates, bowls (to grow into
-bath toys (bath books, things that float or squirt or pour)
-and if you don't already have an o-ball, those are great!! they have big and small ones.

The fisher price brilliant basics stuff is perfect (block set, ring stacker, snap and lock beads, etc), crinkly books, stacking cups, teething toys, board books, the music tables are great and they can use them without the legs at first, same with the vtech sit to stand walker. DD loved the lil shopper grocery set at that age.

Everything mentioned above - ITA!
Also - his fave toys were the little hand-held ones from PBK - they are wooden and brightly colored. All different shapes and types. He also loved the Lamaze line from BBB and BRU.

my DD loved the FP Laugh & Learn House at that age and even up to like 18 months so we got good use out of it

My daughter is 5 months, will be almost 7 during Christmas. She loves the vtech sit to stand walker.
For Christmas I got her:

and b/c she is obsessed with Mickey Mouse!
