my son is almost 5 months and I am a ftm. For the btdt moms what do you do with their toys? Do you wash their stuffed animals? What about their other toys? I have been using water and vinegar? What about when they drop them?

Pretty much same as pp. At home or at someone else's home (that's clean) I don't worry about it. Things that she was constantly chewing on and got slobbery occasionally got washed off with a little dish soap and anything soft I ran through the washing machine occasionally. If it was in public, depending on where we were I would wash it or wipe it off before giving it back. If we were someone really skeevy I would probably put it away to wash off at home. DD has only been sick twice in 20 months so I think exposing them to a healthy amount of germs is often a good thing!

her toys pretty much live on the floor. THeres enough to do for her that washing every toy that hit the ground would be crazy for me....

Re: Toys

I only really wipe things with water and vinegar if he's been sick, like stomach illness sick. When I remember I run the stuffies through the washing machine. DS is 2.5 and he's only been ill with something other than a cold twice, so I definitely think some germs are good to have around.
