I will ask DH about it... he is a mechanic for Toyota.
Bad blind spots is his only complaint about the truck, and it is even more noticeable for someone who is not used to driving a truck.
Other than that he loves it, and mechanically they are quite sound. He loves the layout & features of the interior too.

My friend test drove one with ian interest in purchasing one. That is the reason she didn't purchase it. She drives all day, so it isn't like she is a crappy driver.

Yes, I read about the blind spots...we both have trucks now, so we are not that worried about that
Glad to hear that mechanically its a good car
We are going to test drive it this weekend

Excellent! Which dealership?
BTW I think there is a mirror that you can get that is afer-market specifically for the FJ in one of the catalogues.... I want to say Performance Products but I am not sure.

Very cool. The guy we usually go to there is Benny. He is very easy to get him to negotiate b/c he is scared of DH
(and no, DH does not buy from the dealership he works at )

The blind spots are HORRIBLE! The back window is so much smaller than the one in my old little Civic! Definitely don't get the Fj, I test drove it and I'm so glad I utimately went with my Xterra
