Town of Huntington- Permits?

If anyone got their building permits from TOH how long did they take approx?
We submitted in early Jan & still haven't heard anything. Theyr website says it takes about 40 days...longer in Summer months. A potential contractor told us to call & inquire, that we shouyld have heard something by now, but I can get a human on the phone, only messages!
