Good Restaurants in or around Penn Station??
We are going to see U2 tommorow night-yeahhh!! and have over 2 hours from the time of our train and the show. Could anyone recommend a good place to go and eat. I know a few places down the block and my dh wants to walk to Times Square, but I am not sure I want to do that (mostly because I am exhausted right now so that walk sounds really bad to me-lol!) Thanks!

Nick & Stefs Steakhouse is on 33rd and Eighth at Penn Station. You should make a reservation though.

I second that - we went there before the Cream concert and it was pretty good. A little pricy though.
Definitely make a reservation - before concerts it is PACKED!! I made ours on opentable.com
  Enjoy!!

Re: Good Restaurants in or around Penn Station??
do you want a good (nice place) or just a decent place to stop before the concert?
a few decent places just down the block from Penn are:
  Joe O's - 33rd and 7th
  Stout - 33rd and 7th
  (both are on 33rd)
Then there are Brendan's, Playwright and the Metro Grill, which are on 35th and 6th (on 35th St.)
You won't need reservations for any of these and they all have good food! American style.
Metro Grill is slightly more upscale.

Probably just a good place. Thanks for the suggestions!

Also Tupelo Grill is pretty good. For the menu:http://www.tupelogrill.com/
Also there is a cheap Italian restaurant around the corner : Il Campanello 136 West 31 Street NY, NY 10001 (212) 695-6111
