What are the roads/weather on LI like today?
I was planning to drive down from Putnam cty. to LI today to visit my grandmother for her birthday. It's raining a lot up here and I know a few parkways in Westchester are closed because of flooding but what about LI? I hate driving in the rain but if it's not that bad down there I'll make the trip. She's in Glen Cove. TIA.

Im in port washington which is near Glen Cove and as of this morning the roads were fine....not flooded

They have issued an "Urban flood advisory" (Never heard of such a thing before) for all of Nassau county until noon.

Yikes! I am thinking that I will stay home- I feel like I am getting a cold toom, not the best thing to bring to a nursing home.
