I seem to find really good towels at places like TJ Maxx. Maybe because they are all brand names.

yes! same here. I've had a few of them for several months now and they look just as good as the day I bought them. they're very soft and thick

I love Ralph Lauren towels. You can get them sometimes at Home Goods, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls at a discount. The Tanger Outlets also have a RL store that carries them.
