Tough decision... WWYD?
So I had a consult with my RE today after my failed FET. We are going to do a fresh cycle and he wants to do a Lupron this time (IVF #1 was with Ganirelix and was a BFN so he wants to try something different). I looked up a sample Lupron calendar and it looks like my egg retrieval or embryo transfer may fall over Thanksgiving weekend, and I am a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding the Saturday of that weekend.
I am supposed to get AF on about Oct. 15th. So if I started Lupron on day 21, that's about Nov. 4th. Do any of you ladies know about how long it is between the first day of Lupron until your embryo transfer? Could this possibly conflict with the wedding I'm supposed to be in?
Would you delay your cycle a month to avoid a conflict (which I really don't want to do), or would you tell the friend the situation and hope she understands if you backed out last minute?

I read that you don't want to delay the cycle, I would not want to either.
I am cycling now and originally thought I would wait because I am a school teacher, being the first month of school, I thought it would be bad. However, it did not go according to plan, I am on stims longer. I am dealing with it,..because I want a baby.
I would do it now. Keep in mind though stress is a factor, so you will need to try and stay calm. Nothing goes according to plan. Plus you rest day of retrieval and day of transfer. So, if it falls before or in the middle you will be ok.

If I remember correctly, you can use Lupron for a bit longer/shorter if needed. Different people take a different amount of time to suppress. Maybe you can discuss with you doctor and they can start you on the pill or lengthen shorten the time you are on lupron. You also do not know how long you are going to stim for. Some people do for 8 days, some for 12 or more.

Thanks guys.... I think I am gonna go ahead with the cycle and tell my friend what I am going through and there's a slight chance I may have a conflict due to the procedures. At least that way I'm not stressing about it. She is a bit sensitive though so I hope she takes it well.

Re: Tough decision... WWYD?
I was on Lupron for approximately 13 days. I had a conflict in that we had a vacation planned for what would have been the first week of Stims and they wanted me to come in for monitoring. They ended up keeping me on BCP 1 extra week so my first monitoring was the next week. Worked out great. Why don't you just stay on BCP until Day 28?

Could you ask for two weeks of BCP after your period comes?

I would explain to your friend that you might need to sit i tout. If she is a friend she will understand your situation. You are investing a lot of time and money here.
