Toothpaste Gagging has begun...

So the gagging when I brush my teeth has begun.....

Just thought I would share.

This happened when I was pregnant with DS. I thought it wasn't going to happen again but it has come back.

I had this problem in the beginning, I switched to Children's watermelon toothpaste.

oh the gagging. I had it for the first 14 weeks, it got to a point where I brushed, puked, had to lay down for 5 minutes and then would continue getting ready -- I started waking up 10 minutes early for work

yea this happened to me as well in the 1st trimester.

thankfully it's long gone!
but there's a tradeoff for it... I have other issues!! haha!! one leaves and another comes!!

I still get this once in awhile and I'm 17.5 weeks!

i had this all the way through my pregnancy with DD and same with this one. I hate it!

OMG it's awful. I had it the first time and this time too. Still bad in my 3rd trimester. Cinnamon flavored paste is much better than mint. Can't do mint at all!!

I never had m/s - the closest I ever came to throwing up was several times when I brushed my teeth. It's gone away (I'm 13w) but I still make sure to brush my teeth over the sink and not wander away from the bathroom to check the weather report on the news or anything.

still happening every single day. I rinse with ACT fluoride wash after every brush.

i had this problem too. we had to switch to regular colgate.

OMG, poor ladies. I had this during my first trimester. (now at 31 weeks). But, it wasn't a prob w/ toothpaste: it was the toothbrush period. The one & only time I puked during my pregnancy was one morning when I brushed my teeth & just couldn't keep it down. Relaxed for 5-10 min & finished brushing... I had to get that taste outta my mouth! And, I also use Act rinse after each brushing (usu only at night, but when I was ill & couldn't get the back teeth well, I used it all the time).

I hope that this symptom doesn't happen w/ my next pregnancy... it was the worst. Good news is that it went away by 14'ish weeks. Best luck to all ladies suffering from this horrible symptom.

It still makes me throw up and I am 26 weeks along! No kidding, I have to rinse for 2 minutes to make sure the taste is totally gone.

Ugh!! I am 37 weeks and still having issues with this..I absolutely despise brushing my teeth.. I have bought so many kinds of toothpastes and nothing helps. I might have to try cinnamon though..never thought of that one

i had this too in my first tri-mester. I htink it has something to do with the membranes in the nose swelling & causing congestion. Well at least it doesnt help. lol
