Too work or not too work... GUILT!!

I dont know what to do!!! Im 38 weeks 2 days.. and legs are swelling. I left work yesterday early b/c the swelling was dimpling and causing pain up my shins. I only work 3 days a week, but on feet the entire day, and have a toddler to care for on the other days. We need $$ for bills, hence the guilt of not working. I dont know what to do... Chat Icon to work or not to work..

If its effecting you in a negative way, and you can't stand...that's your body telling you to get off your feet...so get rid of that guilt and give yourself a break...remember you are 9 months pregnant and you and the baby come firstChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I know sweetie, this is such a hard time and an important decision...but if you really think you can't push anymore..then thats your answer...think of it this way..its prob this week or next week anyway...its not like you are just taking time to hang out 4 weeks before delivery...you legitimately can't stand up...unless there is work you can do sitting down...otherwise your body gives you no choice and its what's meant to beChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I understand what your going through...I left work 3 weeks before my due date...but in hindsight I wish I would have stayed because I would have had those extra three weeks to stay with my lil one...it is a hard decision..especially in these hard economic time...Try to speak to your boss and see what you can agree on so it you will be somewhat comfortable for you until you go on maternity leave...Good Luck...

Not sure what you do---but could you do any work from home? It definitely sounds like your body is sending you strong messages about needing rest. You need to get off your feet.
