I'm confused. I ran to the Dr. becuase of red spotting and one clot on tuesday (nothing since, thank God Chat Icon )

So they did an exam and several blood tests. I PRESUMED they were testing my hormone levels in one of those. After all, they DID check off the pregnancy work-up tests...

I got most of my results, and they told me I don't have HIV, I had all critical immunizations... and they told me my blood type.... that's IT!

what the heck? I'm pretty sure they said I have 'most of the results back', and not 'all'.

Isn't it expected they would check my homone levels, to make sure the pregnancy is progressing properly? Or is it too early at 5 weeks?

Maybe because it was all just fine! Chat Icon Chat Icon Did you ask them if they knew your HCG levels? You could call them back.

Re: too wierd

yep, I asked them, and they said they didn't have those resultsChat Icon obviously this is the ONLY thing I'm really interested in!!!!

I frankly know where I've been... so I already knew I had my immunizations, and never caught HIV Chat Icon

I'm pretty sure the nurse calling with test results only knows what comes in from the lab, not the prescription written by the Dr. Maybe it's still coming in?

Believe it or not it is New York State law that all pregnant women take an HIV test. I had no idea till they made me do one and I was quite Chat Icon

Re: too wierd

u can call back and ask for the hcg levels. However, if there was a concern they would have said something. But you are pretty early right now so your levels are probably on the lower side.

Re: too wierd

I think I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon. If they don't call me with the hcg levels at that point, I'll call them.

I swear they MUST have measured that... it's such a basic thing!
