Too much formula with too little water
I just mixed 2 scoops of formula which would require 4 oz of water, but instead I added only 2 oz of water. I didn't realize this until DD finished the bottle. DD is 20 days old. I tried to give her a little water after but she wouldn't take it. Right now she is sleeping. I called the doc and she said she should be okay b/c it was only 1 time and just to watch her and if she acts different to bring her in. I'm so mad at myself so making the mistake.
Has anyone else done this? What could happen with too concentrated formula?

I would think that your DC would be fine....we all make mistakes! I would chalk it up to the fact that you're probably sleep deprived!

My dad did this once when he was watching Connor. Connor was totally fine. Don't worry, your baby will be ok. It happens, I've had to throw out so many bottles because I forget how many scoops I put in!

it will be fine. It is dangerous when it occurs continually because their little kidneys and liver can't handle all the extra vitamins and stuff from the formula without the extra water.

ITA. I did this once and it just made her poops a little harder.

DH did this once too. Except he put 6 scoops in 6 oz of water instead of 3 scoops.
DD was absolutely fine and didn't get constipated at all.
Don't worry about!
