Tom & Katie: An Italian Wedding
Has Katie Holmes become a bridezilla? Sources tell Us Weekly that the actress, who had been planning an intimate California wedding with fiancé Tom Cruise for October, recently changed the date – and location. The couple of 18 months (parents to daughter, Suri, 6 months) now plan to wed in November somewhere in Italy.
Adds a source close to the duo, “They were hoping to make it a few weeks earlier, but Katie and Tom both want everything to be right. They needed more time. (Asked to confirm the switch, Cruise’s rep, Arnold Robinson, coyly tells Us, “I’m not denying that date or location.)
The source also confirms that Holmes and pal Victoria “Posh” Beckham, 32, jetted from Paris (where the two hit Fashion Week) to the top-secret wedding location to make final preparations on October 7.
By October 14, Holmes, 27, had joined Cruise, 44, back in L.A., where the pair smooched while watching a soccer game of Cruise’s daughter Isabella. “You could tell Katie had just come back from far away,” says an observer. “Tom could not take his eyes off her.”
