told by accident
We go for our 20 week sono tomorrow and we don't want to know what we're having. Was anyone told by accident?

Re: told by accident
Just tell them as soon as you walk into the room that you don't want to know the sex. They are professional people and I am sure if you warn them, it will be fine.

Re: told by accident
They will usually ask first. They know not everyone wants to know.
The tech asked us 3 times if we wanted to know and all 3 times we had said yes. Guess she just wanted to make sure.
If you are concerned, when you walk in the room say politely "Just so you know, we do not want to know the sex".

Re: told by accident
The day before I had my DD the doc slipped and said she. It wasn't a generic thing, you could tell. Even though she tried to cover it up, I just knew the doc had slipped up.

Re: told by accident
At my 20 week with DD#1 we told the tech we did not want to know as soon as we walked in. At some point she referred to the baby as HE and I started crying. She freaked out and said "didn't I tell you a call them all he so I do not mess up?" Which she did not. Then I thought I knew. Well low and behold, we had a girl!!!!!! She must have been telling the truth. My Dr did confirm that they are taught to call them He, and they never write it down and keep it in the chart so nobody else can mess up.

Re: told by accident
I was not told by the tech by accident, but I saw the report afterward and on the bottom it she had written "Normal Amnio 46XX" so I knew girl even though I didn't want to know.

Re: told by accident
We told them we WANTED to know. They also asked us when I had sonos.
I suggest you remind everyone at EVERY visit that you don't want to know, even your own dr.
If you don't want to know, protect your surprise. Even "professional" people do forget.
