Toddler sleeping nightmare! Help!

I'm at my wits end, not sure what else to try!!!

Our DD is almost 3, she still sleeps in a crib because she hasn't ever tried to get out.

She goes to bed fine but twice a night (at the SAME time practically) she gets up screaming hysterically, turns the light on, throws everything out of her crib and sometimes takes off her diaper ... if we don't go right to her!!!

AND she wakes up at 5 a.m. everyday (regardless of daylight savings).

I realize she knows she has US trained to go running to her when she cries in the middle of the night BUT if I don't go to her, she'll be screaming with the lights on, diaper off, etc.

Do I just let her scream for a few days?

Do I unscrew the four bulbs in her room so she doesn't turn the lights on.



Oh boy, I need some advice here, I didn't think I'd be a tired zombie with a Toddler!

No advise, but I know exactly what you're going through

DS does the same thing. If we don't get him right away it takes longer to get him out of his funk. If I get to him fast then I can get him back to sleep
Lately I've been putting him on our floor at night. DH and I both work and need our sleep

DS is in a bed. I would've kept him in the crib, but we had another baby and moved our toddler to a bigger room with a bed and bed rails
He did great when we first transitioned and now it's a nightmare

Again, sorry no advise
