Toddler crying when other kids cry or seem upset
Ds is 3 1/2. For the past year and a half he has a habit of crying when others cry. Not out of sympathy but out of fear and anxiety. He immediate starts crying and will say he's tired or hungry and will not calm down until he is removed from the situation. This was particularly difficult when we were on an airplane with a crying baby behind us. It's to the point now where he is not enjoying things and people he once loved. It's not only with babies but with his peers as well. If a friend starts whining, he will start crying and want to leave. My husband and I are concerned but where do we get help. We have read countless articles and have tried different things but recently it has escalated. Any advice?

Toddler crying when other kids cry or seem upset
My niece is the exact same way, it started when she was 2 which was a little after my daughter was born. At first we thought it was jealousy bc she did it when my little one would cry but then she started crying like that randomly in stores and around anyone she would see crying. I know my sil asked the dr and they just said she is overly sensitive. She's 4 now and she seems to be growing out of it. I wish I had more advice for you!
