Toddler Boy Halloween Costume Help!

So, DS will be 21 months for Halloween. Last year he was a monkey (fully walking and did trick or treat). So this year he will as well.

I'm so confused on what he should be for halloween. Should I do something babish like a teddy bear or something, or something he'd notice like Elmo or make him a cowboy.

SOO CONFUSED> Help!

Does he watch Yo Gabba Gabba? I saw the best Brobee costume! That's what my nephew is going to be!

see, I think this will be one of the last years I have a 100% say of what he is gonna be. I'm confused if I should do a more babyish costume or a more boyish costume.

How much is the Brobee costume? Cost is the issue also. I don't want to spend a lot.

Re: Toddler Boy Halloween Costume Help!

DS was 22 months last and he was Nemo.,

I tired elmo on him and he nearly had a fit. W/o the hat part he would have just been a fuzzy red kid so I opted for something that you could tell what he was w/o the hat part.

ETA: I like babyish costumes still because I feel as if there is going to come a time where they request to be a pirate or a certain character so I might as well just do something cutsy while he doesnt care.

I will not spend alot on halloween costumes. FIrst year he was a dalmatian got it on Disney.com for like $10. Last year I bought his costume pretty late and got it for $15.

What size is he. The dalmatian costume I have I think is a 2t if you want to borrow it. Not sure Nemo's size but a friend might use it so I dont know if I can lend that out yet.

Brobee is $44.99 (free shipping). I hear you though, why are so many costumes so expensive!

I hate anything babyish - Sean was 6 months last year and he was an Astronaut.

This year I think he's going to be a Leprachaun

Re: Toddler Boy Halloween Costume Help!

DS is 2 1/2 and I feel like this may be the last year I decide by myself, also. That's why I'm going the Cat in the Hat route (I think). DH and I will be Things 1 and 2. It's like his birthday party... I did a Very Hungry Caterpillar theme, because I figured as he gets older, he might not be that interested in having a party based on a book! Hopefully, he will want to, but you never know... so we are having Halloween costumes based on a book this year, too! Can you tell I am a teacher!Chat Icon

If my DS is any indication this will DEFINITELY be the last Halloween you have any say.

I say go for the cutest cuddlyist one you can find because next year he will want to have a sword or gun or claws!!

Last year ds was about 20 mos - he was supposed to be Elmo - loved to play w/ his costume - WOULD NOT PUT IT ON... he went as a red pixal from the cablevision commercial Chat Icon

I'd go semi-baby.... this is probably the last time you'll be able to pick out his costumeChat Icon

Re: Toddler Boy Halloween Costume Help!

DS will be 21 months as well on Halloween. I definitely want something that still makes him look like a baby. His face is changing, and next year I won't be able to get away with it.

ETA a picture of DS from last Halloween. No reason except that now I'm feeling sentimental Chat Icon

I bought my nephew a dinosaur costume last year he never wore! So my SIL gave it back to me and that's what Adriano will wear! I found a similar dinosaur costume on Ebay for the new baby!!!! I bought it and I am so excited!!! They'll be cute dinosaurs!!
Your DS ius still little enough to wear an animal costume so if you like it stick to it Chat Icon
