Toddler and Table Food
I used to make DD's food until about the time she turned one year old and I never used salt or oil --- then I started transitioning her to eat what DH and I eat -- and although I still try to cook healthy, I feel like now she is eating stuff with more oil, salt, sometimes things like fried eggplant etc. and more red meat... Im tempted to go back to making her all separate meals again.. am being overly worrisome?

Yes, overly worrisome
I can definitely relate though! You have to remember that you can't make her meals forever. Just try to moderate her intake of the unhealthy stuff, like salt and oil and she'll be fine.

Do not make separate meals-you will totally regret it!

I made her food too & I used to worry about that also but when I cooked her something different she always wanted what I was eating anyway. Now I give her what we're eating but a healthier version. If we have chicken cutlets & rice, I grill her chicken instead of frying it & throw veggies in the rice & put less seasoning in hers. It's been working out good that way.

I understand, I was the same way. DS is now 22 months and has been eating what we eat since he was 14 months. As long as you eat healthy for the most part, it's fine. DS loves chili, tacos, eggplant parm, chicken pot pie, lentil soup, butternut squash soup, couscous, all types of veggies, brown rice, veggie burgers, etc. I like that he will eat anything, and I don't think he would have been that way if I always cooked a seperate meal for him, KWIM?
