Toddler and Help with Summer Shoes
So, DD had a pair of Stride Rite SMT shoes which she has worn since she started walking this past winter-- they were great, went with pretty much everything and she wore them almost every day. Now she is starting to outgrow them and I need to figure out what to get her for the summer.. shes a pretty good walker/runner by now, Id like a pair of everyday shoes/sandals and maybe something for the beach.. ? what did you/do you use for your toddler's summer shoes??

Re: Toddler and Help with Summer Shoes
We got DS a very light weight pair of sneakers and a pair of sandals. He was fine with both of them all summer.

We did canvas sneaker, a closed toe sandal (has a strap over the front), flip flops with heal strap, and crocs.

We've always done one pair of sneakers and one pair of sandals (good quality, supportive sandals, usually from Stride Rite). Honestly, they usually spend he vast majority of their summer days in sandals. As far as beach footwear, every year, I buy surf socks from One Step Ahead. They are awesome!

i bought DS a pair of closed toe sandals from stride rite. so he has 1 good supportive pair for the summer. i'm looking into another croc style shoe to have an extra pair just in case. payless and kohls had some cute ones.

Re: Toddler and Help with Summer Shoes
Last year DD had a pair of closed toe sandals and a pair of sneakers, both from Striderite. I plan to do the same this year. I actually should go get her some!

Crocs and sneakers. I ant to get him sandals so he has a nicer pair of shoes but so far DH doesn't think they're needed.

DS has sneakers and Keen sandals. The Keens are closed toe and very supportive. My only issue with them is that they tend to get stinky.

Re: Toddler and Help with Summer Shoes
Last summer I got my DD a cute pair of sneakers (like a mary jane/strap type one), crocs, and a pair of white closed toe Stride Rite type sandal with pretty colored flowers on it. I also bought a few jelly sandals because they were too cute. DD loved her jellies.

Oh trust me, we do! If you read the reviews online I'm not the only one with this complaint. Crazy thing is that they have anti smell bottoms. I haven't found a sandal that is better for support so I will deal with the stinkiness again this summer.

I put my girls in mostly stride rite or See Kai Run. The SKR are equal quality/price to the stride rite and have a ton more styles. They each have sneakers, sandals with straps over the tops and mary janes.

Highly recommend Stride Rite "Tessa" sandal. DD lives in them, I've bought prob 4 pairs already in diff size and colors. So comfy. We live in FL, she wears them year around, they hold up really well and are cute and match any outfit
