Toddler & baby activities - "teacher" gifts?

How do you decide which teachers get gifts? I know gifts aren't mandatory, just looking for the norm. I know some I will give like teachers we have for the whole year or have done sessions with before. But then there is soccer which will only have 2 classes before Christmas and it's a coach we have never had before, and an assistant too. What would you do for them? I would say no gift, but I also would say no tip at end and at least 1 person tipped after summer session.

For gifts - I'm leaning toward getting $10 to $15 gift cards for everyone. Do you just put them in a holiday card? I won't have picture cards ready in time.

ETA- what amount do you give in gift cards? Also, I probably will just give to new coaches too because I feel cheap after reading my post, lol.

It depends on what you feel you can do. Dd is in full time daycare and i give a lot to those caretakers, as they take care of my most precious commodity ( as well as her physical therapist). Times are really rough financially, so for her ballet teacher, assistant, receptionist where she gets pt, and some others, I am going them a large Mrs. Prindable apple as a thoughtful gift. I truly wish I could do more but I'm hoping the show of appreciation speaks for itself.

Toddler & baby activities -

I did $40 on my dd teacher (nursery school 3x week 3hrs a day) $25 gc to home goods, bath and body works small gift, sugar cookie premade mix and cookie cutters
Asst $30 sigar cookie mix and cookie cutters with $25 gc to home goods
Dance teacher $30 burts bees lip and hand cream w/ $25 gc to home goods
Dance asst $10 bath and body works set

All wrapped up really nice with big bows... i do our xmas card plus a hand written card to thank them. Dance teachers i didnt send our xmas card just handwritten...

For smaller gifts just like $10 and your not sure what they like... i always opt for home goods (who doesnt love home goods?! Plus they are always with a marshalls or tj maxx so they can use it anywhere)

Opt for edible... cookies wrapped nicely
Chocolates
Hot choc mix with a mug (target has gourmet looking mixes cheap) and michaels has mugs for like $3-4 or even home goods has mugs for that price too...
Like i did sugar cookie mix (again i seen gourmet styles at target) or good ole fashion betty crocker mix with cookie cutters...
Or even bakery box of cookies...
