Today.. A Vent.
This morning I woke up at 5am.
I played on FB. I cleaned the kitchen. I made cinnamon rolls - melted the butter, sprinkled the cinnamon and the sugar together, rolled out the dough - the whole nine.
I squeezed oranges for fresh orange juice.
I made cappucinos- ground and brewed the beans, steamed and frothed the milk, dusted the top with cocoa for Rob and cinnamon for me.
I made eggs and bacon and home fries and toast.
I was about to wake up the boys for their breakfast when our overly sensitive smoke alarm went off. Down come all three to a room scented with cinnamon, bacon and coffee - a table set with flowers and pitchers of milk, and a basket of hot cinnamon rolls - their plates decorated with slices of orange and blueberries.
What do I get?
Rob: You need to remember to close that door so the smoke detector doesn't go off. It's a cr@ppy way to wake up.
Robbie: Scrambled eggs? I wanted them over easy.
Noah: Where's the pancakes?
Believe me when I say that they are on their own for lunch.

All I have to say is you truly an amazing mother and wife!!! I wish I had the energy you have! My hubby was lucky he got bacon. eggs and toast and he made his own coffee!! Before ds I used to do better breakfasts but now I focus on what he eats!! Hey hubby thought it was a "treat" when I made him your breakfast pizza!!!!
Next time we'll come by your house and be truly appreciative!!!!

What a beautiful breakfast. Sorry they acted that way. Seriously sometimes men make me I've so been there before! Hopefully you at least enjoyed some of the deliciousness!

holy crap you are amazing....as i was reading I was waiting for the punch line. I'd be sure to set the smoke detector off "by accident" again next weekend too

I'm sorry. What a wonderful breakfast that you prepared. Sounds like something that i would have heard myself. I could totally relate.....and now I really really want cinnamon rolls.

If I had a time machine, I'd send myself back to that moment in time. I would KILL to wake up to that!!! 
that's what happens when they have it "TOO" good and they forget it for a minute.
