To Sterizilize or Not to Sterilize?

I got the microwave bottle sterilizer for my shower, but haven't used it yet to get the bottles ready because of what i've heard about releasing chemicals in plastic bottles. Are you gals sterilizing your bottles or just washing them the old fashioned way?

Then that got me thinking about the day/night bottle warmer - are you using that too? Won't that release chemcials too? I don't know what to do! HELP!

Anyone have a link to read up on this?Chat Icon

We just had a consult with a pediatrician and he gave us a pamphlet that said "Sterilizing anything for your baby is unnecessary and potentially dangerous. Simply Clean bottles and nipples with soap and hot water and let them dry thoroughly"

I got one for my shower and realized very quickly that I was never going to use it. I would just stick his bottles in a hot mug of water just to take the chill off.
