To catch a dairy thief
So, there has been a string of dairy thefts from our communal work refrigerator. Yesterday a woman's cheese disappeared (a pregnant woman, no less - how can you steal food from a pregnant woman???).
Today, my yogurt was stolen. White chocolate strawberry, too - the best flavor of the bunch!
So, we just posted a sign on the door to the refrigerator:
"Attention Dairy Lover...
MISSING: (image of Yoplait yogurt) and (image of cheese)
IF FOUND, please return to Meg or Beth G-B
IF HUNGRY, please go to the store!"
I wonder if we'll get a confession.
Better yet, DH made a good point - considering this is a federal agency, and thus, federally purchased refrigerator, perhaps this qualifies as a federal crime?

Re: To catch a dairy thief
my favorite is refrigerator thiefs who get caught and say "oh, i'm sorry, i didn't know it was yours" you didn't know it was mine, but you sure as heck knew it wasn't yours!

Re: To catch a dairy thief
I got one better. Our cleaners told us breast milk was being stolen from one of the other suites in the building. Are you kidding me??? People are amazing.

Re: To catch a dairy thief
I have a deep suspicion the offender is my nail clipping cube-mate that I'm oh-so fond of

Re: To catch a dairy thief
you HAVE to love the signs that are needed in government buildings
we have one that says "if you urinate on the floor, please clean it up"
and
"if you are using the stall to wash something, please clean up the dirty water you leave behind"
What the heck is going on in these bathrooms??

Someone would have to die.
Stealing food from anyone, much less a PG woman, is NOT cool!!!

Re: To catch a dairy thief
I'd actually be grossed out at the idea of eating anyone else's food from the fridge... even if it was "new" or sealed.
What are people thinking?!
