You need to do kegels religiously! It brings you right back to normal after a couple of weeks.

As a 2 c-section mommy here I can say that I too have wondered the same. I think it's the pregnancy that does it more than anything else.

Whatever you do DO NOT jump on a trampoline!!!!

Re: TMI question for mommies who did not have Csections
Immediately following the delivery I had none. Really, I peed myself a few times without realizing it . That lasted for about 2 weeks. Now, 23 months later, it's better....but not back to normal. Although, I've trained myself to go to the bathroom when the urge first hits me, otherwise, I'm asking for trouble.

BLAHAHAHA! I just learned that lesson last week. I really didn't have that problem except briefly after giving birth, so I wasn't expecting the trampoline problem. What a bummer!

I never had that problem. I know a few moms of older kids that do still have that problem. I'd see your ob about it - and in the meantime, maybe Kegel's will help?

Re: TMI question for mommies who did not have Csections
IMO Kegels DO NOT WORK (at least not for me) I am only 7 weeks pp but I do remember it lasting a lonnnnnnggggg time. I work out regularly, so I feel it more (especially doing jumping movements) I have to wear pantyliners and take pee breaks. Another joy of giving birth.

Do your pelvic floor exercises ALL THE TIME!!! You will regain it, however it does take time!

Re: TMI question for mommies who did not have Csections
OMG thank you for posting this! I used to be able to hold it alllll day before having DS. Now, if I don't go at the first sign I'm in for it! Forget about if I sneeze or hear something funny. I've had to sit down in the middle or parking lots so I don't pee my pants . I do the kegels but I don't see them helping too much.

I had a scheduled c and dont have this problem BUT my one SIL actually had isurgery to fix it after she was having kids.
My other SIL actually jokes about it when we take our Zumba class together. her youngest is 3yo!

Re: TMI question for mommies who did not have Csections
Well I have to make sure I empty my bladder before I do any type of exercising. I had my first 3 years ago and my second almost 2 years ago. Kegal exercises will help strengthen your pelvic muscle but I never remember to do them.
