TMI question

Sorry for giving TMI, but I have looked all over the computer for this and can't find what I am looking for.

I was diagnosed with a UTI on Monday. I started meds 3x a day. Still today, I have a SEVERE burning sensation down there, especially when I wipe. Could this still be the UTI, or do you think its something else?

I am going to call my dr tomorrow, because I am going away on Weds, but just wanted to have a heads up. Thanks!

Sounds like it might be something else like a yeast infection so I would definaltely call the doc but some cranberry juice and yogurt might help hope you feel better

I would call. If you have been on the meds for a few days the symptoms should go away. Maybe you have a yeast or bacterial-vaginal infection also? You definately don't want to worry about this on vacation.

I agree with the last poster...it could be one or the other...your uti symptoms should be easing up by now...also, when I get prescribed meds, the doc always gives me a Rx for diflucan prophylacticly, because I usually get yeast infections when I take antibiotics(I can't win!)....Not sure if you can take that while preggo, but you can def use monistat...def go in and let them take a culture so you know if you are dealing with a yeast infection or bv...they are treated differently and should be cleared up asap when pregnant...don't worry too much, its not that big of a deal if you get on top of it right away...good luck and have a great vaca!

thanks everyone....i didnt even think about that being that ive never had one before....but I also never had a UTI before this pregnancy either!
