TMI: Internal Exam
Has anyone else bleed a lot after an internal exam? The DR told me right away that i was bleeding a lot after she checked me, so much i need to wear a pad. Has this happened to anyone else? She also said i had a lot of cervical mucus in there.

Yes, I almost always bleed heavily afterwards. I have a really sensitive cervix.

Oh ok.. this was my 4th internal and the first time i bleed at all.. Kinda freaked me out.

Hmmm...were you dilated at all? Its possible that she forced her fingers in a little further than normal. When I was a "fingertip" dilated, she tried to make it a full 1cm by forcing her finger in a little more. I bled more that time.

Im a little over 1cm. I think she forced it in though cause i thought i might be leaking fluid and she wanted to check to make sure the sac was still intact.
