TMI: consipation AND diarreha

Anyone else have this problem? I'm taking Miralax so things are getting better for me now, but I'm been going from one extreme to another. And things are not comfortable. (plus I'm a teacher, so not knowing when "things" are going to "hit" makes me nervous)

Advice???

unfortunately it is normal. I take fiber everyday unless I head to the other direction.

Not much you can do.

I have IBS and I never know what direction it's going in. I used to know food triggers but that has flown right out the window too.

I go through a little of both...I get so backed up, and then one day it all wants to come out and I have the diarrhea with a lot of cramping, etc. I think the metamucil helps (I drink it, not the capsules), but I think it only works when I drink it consistantly every morning ...it seems to aleviate going through each extreme.

I had that too. I just prayed that it wouldn't hit at the wrong time. The doctor did give me a list of fiber things I could take. It does pass, so know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I had a stage where it was diarreha in the morning and then constipated at night. TMI But it went away thank goodness.

Thanks for the info and support, ladies. The other day I thought I was going to die (or that it was good prep for labor - ha ha). Hope it doesn't continue.
