TMI- Bathroom question

I am 4 weeks and 5 days and for the past 3 days I have been having diarrhea like twice a day (sorry TMI). I have been getting cramps, then have to go to the bathroom (the cramps go away once I go).

I read somewhere that this is a form of MS (not sure if that's true at all??).

I have been drinking a ton of water, but not sure if this is normal and when I should call Dr.

The only thing I have been doing differently is taking an iron supplement since my OTC prenatals don't have any in them.

Re: TMI- Bathroom question

Hmmmm... If anything, iron supplements make you constipated, not loose. I was having diarrhea very early on and thought maybe it was a symptom of MS but was told it was not. About a week later though the MS came on strong and I suffered with it for 21 weeks +. Just recently weaned myself off Zofran - not fun!! Anyway, if you're concerned you should call your dr. They understand that we are all nervous about every little thing and if they don't understand that, they should choose a new profession!

Re: TMI- Bathroom question

Its probably jsut a lovely part of pregnancy.

I had it happen and I think I was probably only 5 weeks. It only happened for a few days....full blown MS kicked in a few weeks later.

Just keep hydrated.

Okay, I feel a little better now.. I was starting to feel a little nervous.

It interesting that both of you said you had bad MS bc I was just reading something that said most women who have it early on usually get pretty bad MS in the following weeks... guess I have something to look forward to!

Not that this helps, but I am 7w1d and I have had it since last night. I woke up at 1am with the most intense back pain and crazy gas Chat Icon I went to the bathroom and had diarrhea. All day today, the back pain comes and goes and to the bathroom I go!

I was so nervous, but from what I'm reading it seems common enough.

I have an u/s in the morning and will let you know what the doc says!

Re: TMI- Bathroom question

I had that on an off ~ I think it is hormone/nerve related ~ I know mine always went away ~ If it is constant I would have talked to my dr about it.

If you are worried I would call your dr
