Title search
So we thought we were officially in contract since both parties signed. The house we are purchasing was sold to a real estate agent on a shortsale, he closed this past Monday on the house, and is now selling it to us. We just found out that he never had a title search done, and may not actually own the house now, which means we may not be in contract. Has this ever happened to anyone I am so confused as to how he closed on Monday without the title search? Supposidly his lawyer is looking into this, but how didn't he know, he's a real estate agent who deals with this stuff on a daily basis

Re: Title search
That sounds a little fishy to me! I would deffinetly have my attorney look into this. There could be a whole bunch of issues with Title when your attorney gets his title in.. Best of luck
