I am bringing Rocky to get groomed on Tuesday. Do I tip the groomer? What does everyone else do? TIA

Re: Tipping groomers
I tip $10
the service is $80
I already feel like I am over paying- but he feels comfortable there and they think he is a good cat- (and they do a great job on his lion cut)

Re: Tipping groomers
I tip the groomer well just for trimming our dog's nails because I feel so bad watching the struggle that goes on during what should be a relatively simple process. She's huge and strong and absolutely hates having her feet touched, so she was more than a handful and I would have felt horrible if I didn't tip the groomer.

Re: Tipping groomers
when i was a bather, it was nice to get like $5 for bathing dogs, brushing/deshedding them and cutting their nails. cutting nails especially if the dog is a pain, tipping is good too. i know i'm gonna do that with my dachshund because I can't even cut his nails he's really difficult. as far as haircuts, anywhere from $10-20 bucks is good. if you're dog is extremely matted, it takes alot longer to shave them down and there's alot of work to it. I know I also took extra time shaving dogs to make sure they were comfortable, to pamper them a little and sometimes a dog just isn't good on the table so it was a little bummer when I would have a bad dog and not get a tip. depending where the groomer works, they work on commission but still don't make much.but when i was a groomer, i was glad to get anything. gas in my tank
