tipping fence guys
We got estimates for a new fence/gate and were planning on doing it in the spring, but the guy is actually here right now... wanted to do it on 1st day above freezing.... i guess business is slooooow right now obviously.... so that's fine....
they are here right now.... 3 guys.... but it's freezing out and i feel terrible for them....
when i go out in a bit i'll bring them back dunkin donuts coffee....
What should i be tipping them later? Do I have to tip more because it's sooo cold out? It's the owner and 2 workers. I didn't ask for it to be done on a 30 degree day with snow on the ground. I even called yesterday to see if he wanted to postpone, but he didn't. I just want to be fair :)

Re: tipping fence guys
we got our fence done over the summer and they were here when it was really hot. i felt bad. we tipped them what we thought would be fair and to 'makeup' for the hear, i made sure there was a cooler full of water and fruit (apples, oranges). I also cut up watermelon for them. Everything was always gone by the end of everyday and they seemed to appreciate it. I kept going out there and checking to see if I needed to get more water and whatnot.
