Tipping

We just moved in and we want to tip the garbage men. The sellers left a bunch of their cr@p out there including fish tank that must have weighed over 100lbs. and they took it all.

How do you give a tip to the garbage men? (with the mailman it's easy because you can just leave it in the mailbox)
They always pick up the garbage when we aren't home. Also, if there are two guys that come around, how much do you tip?

Are they guys that pick up the regular garbage the same guys that pick up the recycling? I am so clueless!

How much do you plan on tipping out of curiosity?

Someone told me to tip the garbage men $20 but is that for them to split or $20 each?

I'll probably give them $40-50 to be on the safe side.

I am the type of person that will throw out total BS that may not supposed to go out to the garbage (like not tying things... not preparing the garbage properly).

I want them to remember me and be a little lienient on this.
