Times Square bombing...caused by South Park?
Granted, it sounds ridiculous. But was the foiled Saturday car bombing attempt in Time Square a retaliation against Comedy Central for airing the infamous Mohammed arc on South Park? The theory, which stems from the the fact that the explosives-laden SUV was parked right next to the headquarters of Comedy Central's parent company Viacom, quickly gained popularity Sunday, with no less than a New York Congressman -- U.S. Rep. Peter King -- among those who called the connection "a possibility." Last month, a New York-based radical Muslim group threatened to kill South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker over the show's depiction of Prophet Mohammed.

would it surprise me..no.
christianity, judaism, various other faiths are made fun of all the time, yet you dont see christians, jews running out and blowing thigns up; make fun of islam..watch out.
Im not condoning making fun of any religion...but they're called radical extremists for a reason and this would not surprise me one bit!

there are radical extremists in any religion, not just Muslims.
agreed..but i feel like other religions get bashed and those followers just go on with their lives. if you say anything against islam, you'll be sorry.
i know they exist in all religions because look at the anti abortion extremists..they've done awful things to others.
when i first saw this on the news about southpark..was it last week, 2 weeks ago? i just thought to myself that this was going to cause trouble

So this is how rumors get started.
I think the fact that Viacom building was there is a coincidence. You could say the same thing happened because someone was mad at MTV for not showing videos anymore and for only showing crappy reality shows... i mean anyone can come up with any justification for why a senseless act of violence was perpetrated (or attempted)
until they know who's behind it, i'm not jumping to any conclusions about 'why' it was done.

Christians killed people during the crusades if they refused to convert. Christians kill and torture homosexuals, blow up abortion clinics, etc...all in the name of god. Not to mention how many more African people will die of AIDS after the pope went to Africa to talk about how evil a condom is!
Murder is murder in any religion.

Actually, while they have not been able to confirm if it is in fact true - the Taliban in Pakistan released a video claiming responsibility.

I don't understand..."white" is merely a description of skin color and converys nothing more about that person's identity.
I, for example, am CLEARLY white but also happen to be hispanic. You can be very white and be muslim, persian, peruvian etc.
Thus, being white does not dismiss the possibility of being something else.
I believe they (the authorities) have to explore all angles.
